BICSServiceProvider.getBICSSystems failed

Hi all,

when i am adding new methods to my webservice, and publishing the webservice on my JEE Engine, i can't see my changes in Visual Composer. I have already restarted the Visual Composer service and also the JEE Engine, without any success.

In the log i found the following failure:

BICSServiceProvider.getBICSSystems failed

Does anybody have a solution for this, or experienced something similiar ?

BR,

Martin

Hi Martin

Try restarting the web service connector:

- Go to NetWeaver administration <server:port>/nwa.

- Click on Configuration management => Infrastructure

- Select "Application Modules"

- On the left, under the overview select "Start & Stop java EE applications"

- Search for the web service connector service: com.sap.portal.connectors.ws and select it. You can use the filter line in order to do this quickly.

- On the lower table, click the stop button and then the start button

Regards,

Shai

Hi Martin,

this log entry has nothing to do with your Web services problem.

BICSServiceProvider.getBICSSystems failed is raised because no connection to a BI system is maintained, but this is not mandatory. The message will be avoided in future.

Best regards
