BI 4.2 SP4 update

Hi,

Currently we have 3 environments running on BI 4.2 SP3 and we are planning to update it to BI 4.2 SP4.From SAP forums its looks like there is lot of installation issues and report issues in BI 4.2 SP4.So before proceeding with BI 4.2 SP4 update we would like to know some information about the update.

1)Which is much better patch version with less issues in BI 4.2 SP4

2)What are main things to consider before updating to BI 4.2 SP4

3)I read some posts with upgrade compiler in BI 4.2 SP4. What things we need to consider to deal with it.

4)Is it preferable to update the current system (BI 4.2 SP3 ) TO BI 4.2 sp4 instead of full build install.

5)Is there any issue with client tools in BI 4.2 SP4

1. latest patch, of course 😉

2. health of your current environment
any issues with previous upgrades - if it happen in the past, most likely it'll happen again.
following best practices for upgrades.

3. Not sure what is that.

4. that depends. there are arguments for both.

5. What do you mean ?
