hi,

can u tell me the diff. for -period and in-period in the sap-abap-hr. wt is the use of these in hr-payroll

    Hi,

    for-period is, for which month u r running the payroll. and in-period is in which month r u running the payroll for that for period.

    example, say this is january. for month of january you are running payroll on 25-01-08. then jan 08 becomes your for-period and again jan is ur in-period. suppose u have made some changes for jan master data in the month of feb, then, next when u run the payroll on feb 25, it will retro for jan. in this case jan will be ur for-period and feb will be ur in-period becoz u r running payroll for jan in feb.
