PM - IP30 skipped the calls

Hi All,

I have faced the problem in IP30 for my client running on SAP 4.6 C Version.

We have uploaded new maintenance plans on 7/12/07 and schedule it through IP30 on 8/12/08. All the maintenance plans got scheduled properly.

The background job for IP30 is defined in SM37 on every 26th of every month.

While scheduling in background on 26/12/07 system skipped all the previous call and generated new calls with same date, also some calls got duplicated as previous call generated some orders (from 8/12 schedule) and also new scheduling (done on 26/12) generated orders.

Can you kindly suggest what can be the reason for same?

Is there is any way that IP30 can skip the calls as I have not found any option like this till yet

Regards

Saurav

    hi,

when we schedule maintenance plant by ip30 ( either in dialog or as background job)... it reshedule all plans for the period what you have mentioned in scheduling period of each maintenance plan.. .. so try to categorize your maintenance plant according to their scheduling period and then make varients and schedule them in background jobs.

    1. suppose that scheduling period of some maintenance plan belongs to 100 days. then run background scheduling after each and every 100 days......

    2. May be scheduling period of some maintenance plan is 365 days.. then run background scheduling for such kind of maintenance plant after each & every one year....

such kind of categorization you have to do by setting variants....

    plz do it and confirm
