Hi
I want to work with BI report and BEx analyzer etc using Visual Composer.
I am using Visual Composer 7.1. I have configured BI system connection using the following link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/7e/6dbcea3700452195e3bddaa47c5906/frameset.htm.
In the above document i didnt understand the following para....
Creating BI Users in the Portal
Ensure that the BI back-end users also exist in the J2EE Engine. You can use the BI back end as the user store for the J2EE Engine or you can create the users manually. If you create the users manually, you should ensure that they have the same names as in the BI back-end; this avoids the need to configure user assignment.
How to check BI back end user also exist in J2EE engine ?
How to use BI kit in Visual composer. From where can i download BI kit for Visual Composer.
What is the difference between developing application in VC using the above method and using BI kit.
Please help me....
Regards

Hi Sowmya,
"BI kit" is nothing that can be downloaded separately. "BI kit" stands for the possibility to use BI queries
as dataservices in VC as part of CE 7.1 - as described in the documentation provided by Kobi.
So there is no difference "between developing application in VC using the above method and using BI kit".
The user management that is described in the documentation fits to the productive usage. Here the recommended way is to have one user store and to use the SAP Netweaver BI backend also as user store for the J2EE users. This is reached by the following settings of the BI connection in the portal system landscape:
User Management
- Authentication Ticket Type: SAP Assertion Ticket
- Logon Method: SAPLOGONTICKET
- User Mapping Type: admin, user
For prototyping, it is easier to adjust the described configuration in the following way:
User management:
- Authentication ticket type: empty
- Logon method: UIDPW
- User mapping type: admin,user
In addition, you have to maintain in the portal the user mapping to a fixed SAP Netweaver BI backend user in this case:
- Goto User Administration -> Identity Management
- Goto Tab User mapping
- Click on Change
- Enter BI backend User and password
- Save

Hi Sowmya,
You can refer to the following link explaining how to configure a BI system:
