Release procedure to be applied for both RFQ& PURCHASE ORDER

HELLO MM GURUS,

i need to perform release procedure for RFQ & P O

1. I had taken one release class for both , as SAP is not allowing 2 classes for external documents.

2. i had used 3 characteristics for RFQ

A. CEKKO - KTWRT (Cummilative value)

B. CEKKO - WERKS (plant)

C. CEKKO - BSART (Document type )

3. i had used 3 characters for purchase order

A. CEKKO - GNETW (Net Order Value)

B. CEKKO - WERKS (plant)

C. CEKKO - BSART (Document type )

when i do RFQ , RELEASE procedure is trigerring only when i delete characters related to P O .

Same think happening with P O HEADER TAB, only coming when i delete characteristcs related to RFQ.

I need some help in this regard. i want release should be worked for both.

please comment on this

Hi Nagaraju!

I noticed that the 1st characteristics for both RFQ and PO differs from the other. Since you are using the same classification and PO and RFQ are using the same table, you need to define each characteristics for your release strategies for both PO and RFQ. Meaning you have to define the values for CEKKO-KTWRT for PO and CEKKO-GNETW for RFQ.

Hi Nagaraju!

I figured that from your previous post. 😃 It is actually the reason why the system is behaving the way you described it ( that the strategy doesn't work unless you delete values relevant to the other document types' characteristic).

What I mean to tell you on my first reply is that you must not maintain the characteristics separately. Rather you must define a combined characteristics for PO and RFQ. You could try doing this in the following manner: (example only)

Characteristics:

1. CEKKO - KTWRT (Cummilative value)

=0

>0

2. CEKKO - WERKS (plant)

1000

2000

3. CEKKO - BSART (Document type)

AN

NB

4. CEKKO - GNETW (Net Order Value)

=0

>0

R1: >0 R2: >0

1000 2000

AN AN

=0 =0

R3: >0 R4: >0

1000 2000

NB NB

=0 =0
