New Wagetype in IT0008

Hi,

we have a requirement to add a new wagetype to display the hourly rate of pay in infotype 8.
We require this wagetype to appear in IT0008 for employees in a particular Payscale group/area.
How do we achieve this requirement?
My question is, do we need to run a mass update action inorder for this new wage type to appear in it0008 for hourly employees?

Creating a new WT to be available for IT0008 is configuration (use t-code spro). First, please search help.sap.com

Adding a WT to the IT0008 of a set of employees could be done through t-code lsmw.
