To use CDS queries in Analysis office from Fiori Launchpad.

Team,

I have been exploring the option of using CDS queries with Analysis office from Fiori Launchpad.

https://blogs.sap.com/2017/02/22/how-to-create-fiori-tile-for-analytical-query/

I have followed this blog to an extent, but it intends to limit mapping to a single analytical query to single tile.

However, I am looking if there is any feasibility of using an option of opening / mapping MULTIPLE QUERIES from Analysis OFFICE using FIORI Tile.

(Similar to Query Browser Option> Open in SAP Design Studio option )

Any help/inputs would be really appreciated.

Hi, if you want similar behavier as Query Browser option - Open in Design Studio but with Analysis for Office - you donot need a Fiori Tile.

Analysis should be installed localy at your pc. It is broad functional BI Tool.

You could open it, connect to for example S4 system and search for analytical cds queries. Seach by 2c* or by infoareas or by roles.

If want to start from Fiori Tile, you could make a tile opening Analysis for Office. Use link from blog and donot specify query or workbook info:

http://<server>:<port>/sap/bw/analysis?APPLICATION=EXCEL

Ofter opening analysis go to open analytical query and so on.

It is more powerfull tool compared to query browser, there you could open not only queries but also cds cubes. Of course if you have sufficient authorisations.

Hopy it helps!

Thanks Maksim for your response.

I did tried the given suggestion, but unfortunately it is not working.

It throws below error:

A communication error occurred: ""The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

Any idea what reason it could be

Hi, Juoti Jain!

If analysis for office is installed locally and

service .../sap/bw/analysis is active in SICF t-code, then try to consult with basis.

For example, when you at SICF: find analysis service and test it. Analysis should started directly or by downloading a link.
