Is it possible to enable hierarchies in ABAP CDS views built on ERP (suite on HANA)?

I have a customer on ERP on HANA (NW 7.40 SP 16). ). In order to maintain metadata and security, customer is hoping to create ABAP CDS views in ERP and exposing these as transient queries for query access from SAP Analytics Cloud via Live BW connector.

Is it possible to enable hierarchies in ABAP CDS views built on ERP? All blogs and posts which I’ve seen cover enabling hierarchies in S/4 CDS views - none I’ve come across mention the ability or how to enable hierarchies in ABAP CDS views on ERP and hence just wanted to check whether technically feasible or not.
