Credit Limit Check

Former Member

Hi,

While running any credit limit check report for a customer, the system does not take the open Orders & Deliveries into account, it only sums up the invoices which are outstanding. What further settings are required so that open Orders & Deliveries are also taken into account while calculating the credit limit?

Thanks,

Rathul.

Hi,

If you use "Automatic Credit check" go to SPRO -> Basic Functions -> Credit Management/Risk Management -> Credit Management --> Define Automatic Credit Control and select the Credit Control area of the customer. Check the "Open Orders" and "Open Deliveries" boxes. Also check "Open Items" check box and "reaction code".

You can also check the following items:

1) Have you defined "Credit Group" for "Sales Order"? You can check the settings with the following examples:

"Credit Control Area" -> 0001

"Risk Category" -> 001

"Credit Group" -> 01 (Credit Group for Sales Order)

2) You may also check "Item Categories" you use.

3) In SPRO, "Assign Sales Documents And Delivery Documents" -> "Credit limit check for order types."

4) Check the update group for the "maintenance of Automatic credit control" screen (for example, we're using "000012 Open order value on time axis, delivery and bill.doct value")

OR ALSO:

Check the following things:

1) Check to see if there are any entries in table S066 and S067. These SIS tables hold the credit data for sales order value and delivery order value.

2) Next check that you have a credit control area set up and it has been attached to your compnay code.

3) Check the risk categories and verify that the update is NOT set to blank. This field controls when credit management exposure is updated (000012, 000015, 000018) are you other options. I suggest 000012 as the most inclusive.

4) Next check that the sales order types have been assigned to credit management active. That means that in tranasaction OVAK that the check credit is = D.

5) Next check that the item categories have been assigned to credit mangement active.

6) Make sure the pricing procedure that is being created in SD has a value assign to the indicator "A" which is the workfield that is used to transfer data to the credit field. If there is not line item assigned to "A" then there is no credit value assigned to the sales order which in turn would send a 0.00 value to credit management. Your SD pricing people should be able to verify information to you.
