XD02 change not replicated back to CRM

Hi group,

I create a business partner in CRM and maintain sold-to characteristics, customer classification and corresponding R/3 account group. BP is replicated correctly to ECC. Now when I change the BP in CRM, changes are directly replicated to ECC. Fine so far. Now the problem:

When I change this business partner using XD02 in ECC, my changes are NOT replicated back to CRM. No entries are added to the queue (SMQ2; SMW01 remain as they were, no new lines; no errors). So it seems that no replication is triggered at all. Is there a replication object I should initially load? I thought this would only be necessary for customer originating in ECC, which is not the case here.

I am sure somebody has encountered this problem before and that I am overlooking something. Please advise.
