WM error at GR

In WM managed warehouse, when I am posting GR, I am getting the following error in my mailbox:

Error during creation of transfer orders for material document 5000000007

Date: 25.01.2008

Time: 14:36:00

Transf.reqmnt R01 0000000005

No destination storage bin to be found in storage type 001

I have configured auto TR, TO & auto confirmation with error posting in the mailbox. TR has been created but no TO.

There are 2 storage types A01 & A02. I have created sotorage bins manually. Though I have created the structure of bins in SPRO but NO auto generation of Storage bins.

A01: Fixed bin placement & FIFO removal.

A02: Fixed bin placement & Shelf life removal.

No capacity check is there. No max wt has been defined in Storage bin. Mixed storage with addln stock has been configured fo storage types.

How shall I remove this error?

Hi VS,

Based on storage type indicator defined in material master it picks storage type defined in storage type search strategy.

It should be pick your configured storage type A01/A02 not 001 and since there is no bin for 001 so you are getting this error message.

I am not using storage stype indicator as its not required for fixed bin placement strategy.

instead i am using special mvt indicator.

can you please explain to me the usage of movement type indicator and what steps u take for its configuration. I think I might be able to use it as a solution to an issue I am having.

it gives u the flexibilty to define ur own mvt types or movements for particular materials.

Define in img-wm-master data-material

assign in wm-interface-inv mgmt-mvt typ

assign it to the material in WM1

Thanksfor the answer vs, I have another question . If u assign tht movement type to the material in the material master, does that mean that you cannot use any other movement type for tht material?

Or if it uses that movement type only for a specific movement then how do u make sure it uses it for that specific movement?

Check storage type search stgy. config. if it is defined for without storage type indicator.

Check the Storage type config and see if you have strategy F (Fixed Bins) for the Putaway stragety. Use one of the bins from this storage type in your material master as fixed bin. Fixed bin should override any config that you have but, just in case remove the storage section indicator flag in IMG->LE->WM->Stragegies->Activate Storage Section Search->Activate for the storage type that you are using.

Not sure if I understand what you mean by movement indicator.

Agree with Charlie, also check why its referring to storage type 001. Per your post you created 2 storage types A01 & A02 and for some reason its looking for storage type 001. Check the storage type search IMG->LE->WM->Activate Storage Type Search->Determine Search Sequence (Check for Operation E). Change the sequence to include A01, A02 as the first choices for stock placement.

As I am using fixed bin putaway strategy then why is system doing storage type search strategy for placement?

First of all you have to genarate the Bins for your bin type structure as well as for interim storage type also

use LS10 for regular bins

LX20 for Interim storage

Then check the

Storage type search strategy

Storage Section Search

Bin type search all this need to be defined
