Logon not possible (error in license check)

Hi,

I encounter an licence check error and am unable to log on to ECC6.0 (oracle10.2) when i use any user ID except SAP*, The error message is "Logon not possible (error in license check)".

This system is running with HACMP, SCS and CI are installed on the same server A, and DB instance is installed server B. when i switch SAP SCS, CI instance to DB server B., the error occurs.

But when i switch SCS and CI to server A, DB to server B or server A, SAP works fine.

I have installed the SAP license on both servers SAP running on, and both promt a new license is installed successfully.

Is there any other possible issues with this error message?message server? host id?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joseph

I had the same error.... but with different scenario.. I installed a license in my ECC 6.0 and I tought everything is ok, later, a message appears "logon not possible (error in license check)"

Why?

The server accepted the license, yes.... but, the license type was incorrect...

Maybe when you change the landscape you need a different license type.

Maybe this can help you
