Anonymous Calls to PI Web Services

We have our systems behind a firewall and one system is having problems connecting to the PI Web Services when it has to provide a user ID and password.

Does anybody know, is it possible to configure PI so that the Web Service does not require a userID and password?

Kind Regards,

Tony.

    Hi,

The PI needs autheticated connectivity which allow you for the transactions through your firewall.

So you need to set the user ID and password for the connectivity.

If you don't wish to setup the userID and password then probably you could use the concept of prinicpal propagtion, where the SAP logon ticket will be generated and will allow for autheticated transactions through Webservices.

    Please refer below blog from,

Principal Propagation in SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1

note : This concept works with only SOAP, RFC and Proxy communications

    Thanks
