Hi all,
In my clients BW system several Masterdata exits without a Source System (for example in case of BPS applications). Masterdata is maintained by the IT department on behalf of the end-user or by loading flat-files.
My client would like to have a user-friendly solution for maintaining the Masterdata by the end-users. Anyone has ideas how to achieve this?
Release is 3.5 but upgrade to 7.0 is planned for the near future.
Thnx in advance,
Henk.

A similar option is to make an input program in your back-end system that fills a Z-table with the relevant data. This table can then be used as a data source for the master data.

Hi,
you can create a BPS manual entry screen and fill data to an infocube.
Later use your infocube as a data source for your character.
You can also manage the data load with a process chain that updates the master data everyday ( for example ).
Hope this helps.
