BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 does not return the results of ATP

When we create a sales order with the BAPI "BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2" the ATP check is done. However this BAPI does not return the results of the ATP check to the calling program. I am looking for an RFC/BAPI that does the ATP check for me and returns the results. User would like to do this check BEFORE they call the BAPI to create the Sales Order.

Does somebody know how I can solve this?
