changing the default of user dialog--why?

it is stated that the user might change the default values( see underneath the picture of the user dialog)

my question is what will happen to the dara if I change the default value won;t it get changed too?

if you were not assigned any defualt value, it display the same dialog with empty values. here changing data is nothing but the input value. it wont effect the file data

same action can be performed using WS_DOWNLOAD

and GUI_DOWNLOAD

but while using GUI_download, user dialog wont apper so pass the values through a selection-screen using parameters stmt
