Hi All,
I am new to SDN Forum. I want to install SAP 4.7 Ides on my computer.
The system specifications are as follows:
OS: Windows Vista Home Basic
RAM: 1 GB
HDD : 120 GB
Processor: AMD Turion 1.6 GHz
Let me know if Windows Vista supports SAP installation? And if so can I get the step by step procedure of installing the same.
Vista is NOT supported - you will need to install Windows 2003 or use VMWare.

Well - "SAP" in Version R/3 Enterprise 4.7 can´t - but newer versions can be installed (with special kernels).
VMWare and especially Windows 2003 is software, that must be bought and licensed to have the right to use it - same goes for the SAP software and the underlying database - it must be payed (also for "training purposes" you need to have a valid license).
You can use Linux as alternative, which can be downloaded from Redhat or SuSE as 30-day evaluation, it will continue to run but you won´t get any updates.

Hi Kumar,
Yes, you can go a head.
