CUA and user parameters

I thought CUA updated all user characteristics, but I just noticed that User Parameters are not updating on my system. Is this configurable? Is it supposed to work this way? Does anyone know of documentation that explains this. Thank you.

Hi Leo,

Generally User Parameters are set to PROPOSAL (recommended by SAP) which means the users should be able to mainatin their parameters in different systems individually.

PFB the document stating the same in SAP HELP.

I didn't know about transaction SCUM. (I got all my training through knowledge transfer, no classes.) Your reply is very helpful. Thanks.

Hi Leo,

If you are CUA'ing into different systems e.g. R/3, BW, XI etc, then there will be PIDs that exist in some systems that don't exist in others. This results in an Idoc error in SCUL. If you are getting this error then you can suppress it - check out OSS note 395841

If this isn't the case, what setting do you have for PIDs in SCUM?
