SAP Security in BI

I'm new to SAP BI 7.0 (I have experience in v3.0 and 3.5 though) and I'm especially new to the security side of things.

I've been asked to create a blueprint document detailing what is needed for a new SAP HR project relating to the security aspects in SAP BI.

I'm not really sure where to start, what sort of questions I need to ask, who I need to talk to and what should go into the blueprint document (and at what level of detail).

Can anyone advise me on any of this plus provide any additional documents/notes/examples that I may find of use.

Many thanks in advance,

You will have to do this yourselve:

    points to take on board:

1 who is going to access the system (endusers or HR professsionals)

2 what is needed in the area of restrictions (multiple companies or other organisation entities of which reporting should be restricted)

3 what restrictions are needed based on privicy lwas

And if you think about this you will probably find some more issues.

    Where to look for answers:

A look at the SAP system the BI is based upon, how restricions are applied there.

B talk to the Functional consultants they should be able to tell you what risks they see.

C talk to HR management in teh business what kind of risks they can think of (is everyoine allowed to see the payroll of the CEO and similar questions).

anyway a nice challange. good luck
