Hi all,

I'm Installing a SolMan 4.0 instance into a server with the following characteristics:

The installation was performing successfully till the 26th step "Start Instance" where the following error appears in the Log Browser:

Hi all,

I have exactly such problem.

CJS-30087 Instance FSM/DVEBMGS00 did not stop after 60 minutes...

I solved this problem by starting lsnrctl.

But aftre this I have another problem:

CJS-30149:... FSM/DVEBMGS00 did not started...

Before this in log file several items like

Connect to message server (st/3900) failed: NIECONN_REFUSED.

I think this is reafon of my problem.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Really thanks,

Alex

To check if the listner is up - it should be in the services list and will have a status of running or not. By default for Oracle on Windows, the listner is not running unless the Oracle Admin starts it.

As for the dev_disp - this is on the SAP System - your installation is at Startup so the install should be present. The directory of the dev_disp is:

<drive letter>:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<SN>\work

This is the series of log files for your installation of SAP - the most informative log in this directory, when dealing with ABAP Stack, is the dev_disp log.

Let us all know how things are going and if you need additional information to access this information.

Hi,

I've been searching the files you talk about but I only find a file called sapinst_dev.log(is the most similar to the names you told), but I only read about NIECONN error, and that it doesn't find the instance. The log file is really long so could you give me an email to send you the logfile and help me interpreting it??

How can I check that the Oracle and listener are up??

Thank you all,

Hi,

//How can I check that the Oracle and listener are up??

//

check for the processes tslnrctl and isql******** and oracle.exe. in processes tab.

if listener in not running then in command prompt type lsnrctl then start.

I would have to say that we do need to see the dev_disp to figure out why the ABAP Stack failed to start - additionally have you made sure that Oracle and the listner are up and running? It will be in the dev_disp if that is the issue but something quick to check.

Is your database starting properly?

Can you check your dev_disp and dev_server0 files for errors? It sounds like your ABAP stack isn't even starting so most likely a connection to your db is the problem.

I have read the note about the IIS proxy, but it does not have any relationship with my problem with the message server....

The strange thing is that I'm testing the instances with the SAP MMC and the instance 01 starts and stops correctly and the msg_server.exe is active and w/o problems. But when I try to start the instnce 00( DVEBMGS00) I only have the process strdbs.cmd running, but no message server anywhere.

What can I do???

I have already reboot the system but the same error appears. I've tried to start the message server trough the command line:

>msg_server start

but the following error appears:

msg_server --> sapparam (1c): No profile used

msg_server-->sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in profile nor in Commandline

How could I make this process to find the profile file???

Thanx

Hi GBS-SO Accenture,

Please read this note carefully.

Note 931024 - FAQ: 64-bit platforms for Windows

SAP recommends Netweaver 7 to run on 64bit platform.

Reformating your OS to windows 2003 64 bit will save you problems that you will encounter if installed on 32 bit. When we installed SRM on 32 bit, we had encountered several problems with its Java, which is then fixed when we installed it on 64bit.

For your error,

This happend because it is trying to connect to the Message server but unfortunately message server is not up.

Read this note.

Hi,

A reboot may solve your error, so give a reboot.

Hari.
