We now apply Fixed Assets BA 60.However, It does not support to calculate exact daily depreciation for new assets acquisition. The figure that SAP calculated does not match with Vietnam Accounting Standard (VAS). I will take an example for illustration.
We use LINP method for depreciation. At 24/01/2008, we buy one new asset with the value VND 100,000,000 and useful life is 100 month and use it at the time of acquisition. The depreciation figure that SAP calculated is VND 1,000,000 per month. But in this case, according to VAS, in January we only use this asset 6 day, so the depreciation amount of January should be around VND 200,000 (6 day * VND 1,000,000/30).
So could you pls help me to find solution for this case. Thanks for your help!
I'm not sure which patch level the following was introduced at, but you are now able to specify that depreciation calculations are based on an exact daily basis by using the "Pro Rata Temporis" setting, and that acquisitions commence from the 1st day of the current period. This works fine for our localisation.
These are determined in the Depreciation Types set up.
