SAP post installation

I have successfully installed SAP R/3 in my system. But I have got one problem.

Before installation I have both 2003 server and xp as dual operating systems.

But after I installed SAP in 2003 server, i'm not able to get into XP OS.

I dont understand how this XP is hidden after SAP installation. But the two options for selection of operating systems are displayed during dual booting. Even if i select XP it goes to 2003 OS.

Can I repair XP being in 2003? Wouldn't it cause any problem to my SAP in 2003 after XP is repaired or re-installed??

The issue you are having has nothing to do with the SAP instance. I f you want a dual-booting environment, first set this up correctly and verify that you can succesfully boot into both Windows Server and Windows XP. After this is working correctly, then boot in Windows Server and install SAP.

Please keep in mind that you can not have SAP running in Windows Server and then switch to XP. A dual-boot environment is "mutauly exclusve", that is you can only have 1 operating system active.

You can, however, install one operating system, and then in that operating system install a "Virtual PC" whereby you install a second operating system in the virtual PC. For example, load Windows XP as the main operating system on your computer, then install Virtual PC in which you bring up Windows Server. Next in the Virtual PC hosted Windows Server you can then install SAP
