Wrong language displayed

Dears,

I have the following problem on a ECC6 instance:

When I log on in the dutch language, in transaction CS23, also the German language is showed for some words.

The Dutch language is imported and I also applied the language for all the support packages. The language package installed is Language ECC6 600 / SR2, I also found package Language Netweaver 2004s SR2 for the Dutch language (I don't think this should be in there, is there a way to delete it again ?)

kind regards

Did I miss something ?

I would also appreciate it if someone could guide me to the correct documentation for installing languages

kind regards

Davy

Davy,

I could be wrong here but if you are seeing some words in German usually means that those words may not have been translated (assuming that you have completed all the steps for importing a language - Classifying language (language, supplemental language), import languages supportpackages, and finally supplement language).

thanks

Dears,

the problem was that we applied the languages for a netweaver 2004s into an ECC system. After applying the ECC language and supplementing it, all is working fine again. Thanks for al your replies.

Dears,

thanks for your replies. The problem however seems to be a littel more complicated because we do not have it in production environment, only in QAS and DEV

The difference here is that in PROD, language package SAPKLNN10 (Language ECC 600 /SR2) has been implemented from the beginning. On QAS, someone made an error and implemented SAPKLNNL700SR2NW04SF0 (Language Netweaver 2004s SR2). To correct this, I implementedalso the ECC language for QAS and applied it for all support packages, but the difference in language still remains.

kind regards

Davy,

Have you been able to try removing the language in SMLT from the system and then re-applying the correct? Additionally, QAS systems are typically refreshed from PROD on a regular basis. If you can't re-apply the correct language pack, can you just refresh the system from PROD again?

Thanks for clarifing your answer so we can better get you what you need.

Davy,

The last post hit it right on the head - it is an issue that not all objects are translated if you see the German. There are a number of reasons for this, especially if you added support packs before you added the language. There are supplements that need to be added in order to take up this gap and any modifications or otherwise that have been added need to be manually translated.

If you want to work on the languages, goto transaction SMLT in your SAP System and there is a documentation tab in there that has all the details on working with languages.
