Moving Combo box fileds accross the tabs in SAP Screen Personas3.0 SP3 in MM01 transaction

Hi,

we are moving few dropdown fields across the tabs but those fields still have the id and parent has the reference to their parent tab even though it is moved to another tab. and when we click on the dropdown to select the value, the control is going to the parent tab and will be opening the dropdown list on the screen.

for ex: In MM01 transaction, we have moved country of origin combo box to purchasing tab and has hidden foreign trade import tab. As a part of the creation, when we try to select country of origin in the purchasing tab, the control is opening the foreign trade import tab and opening the drop down. Is this the feature of personas 3.0? Any idea? your input is appreciated.

This behavior cannot be changed but there are a couple of ways to handle the situation. Please see this KBA describing some methods to avoid the originating tab showing up.
