Bill material in SD and MRP

Hello,

We are working with MRP and transfer order between plant (UB) and I have one question.

We have a shop, and It sold 5 unit of material A, then we execute the MRP, the normal is the automatic creation of the purchase order request (trasnfer UB) to sent material to the Shop from the warehouse.

But we want the following behavior: if the Shop Sold 5 units of A, and I Execute the MRP, the result should be the creation of the purchase order request but with 5 unit of the material B.

It's posible to create a Bill of material in CS01, to change in the MRP or transfer order the material A to the B.

hello, friend.

this is possible. let's say material A is the superior material in the BOM and B is the component. with A, in the material master the item category group in Sales Org 2 view should be LUMF or its copy. B can be the regular NORM.

when these materials are processed in the sales document, B will have item category TAN defined. MRP can then be relevant for B. A would have a different item category defined, and be sure the settings of the resulting schedule lines to be not relevant for transfer of requirements.

No the schedule cat is correct and is doesn't create in the order the extra line.

Thanks for your help,

But I change the item category of A to LUMF, B continue with NORM.

I create the BOM, for the material A:

Material A

Center Z005

BOM USAGE: 3 universal

item 10 L material B quantityt 1

then I have check the item category asignation:

ZTA LUMF TAP TAQ

ZTA LUMF TAP TAN

And when I create the sales order with material A, nothing happens.

I will continue testing if you detect anything in my comments let my us.

I think it is the problem of item category only.

The item category should be like this

For material A: ZTA + LUMF + No Higher level item categ. = TAP, SChed.Cat = CT (No MRP)

For material B: ZTA + LUMF + TAP . = TAN, SChed.Cat = CP ( MRP Possible)
