Hello Experts,

I am a new bee in SLT and my question might sound pretty basic for most of you but i was not able to find an answer which is why i am raising this question. Excuse me if its repetition or invalid.

All the blogs and documents that i read were detailing on how to do the connectivity and how to track the issues but my question is around mapping.

I am looking at options to replicate the master data that is residing in Non SAP system (in different tables and fields) into SAP system.

  1. As SAP master/transaction data is distributed into multiple tables how can i achieve population of data into all those tables ? should i have to map all those tables with separate schemas ?
  2. If i use regular conversion programs or BODS we have different options likes calling standard RFC's BAPI's which in turn will populate all the tables. Do we have such option using SLT ?
  3. With SLT being implemented and data got transferred to SAP system, now if i made any changes to the data in SAP how can i link that back to the non SAP source system (client wants to stick to non SAP system for little longer) .

Thanks for your valuable time.

Regards,

Uday S.

Hello Uday,

I am not certain SLT is the best solution for what you are describing. You also mention BODS, which might be a better fit, and there is a SAP Solution Extension that could be a good fit as well.

Best regards

Frank
