Discount base amount (BSEG-SKFBT) not getting populated for specific company code via BAPI

Hi team,

I am using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST to do vendor invoice direct postings. Everything is fine but for particular company code (India), Discount base field is always blank. Even for this particular company code, MIRO based postings have this field populated in Accounting document. Issue is only for direct Accounting postings with BAPI.

If I am trying directly same company code postings with transaction (FB01/F-43) etc, then discount base is getting populated fine.

For all other company codes, BAPI is working well for discount base field as well. Any clue what can be specific with this company code which might be causing the issue.

I know many threads are there that BAPI doesn't behave like online transaction and hence discount base field is blank, but for my case all other company codes are working well with BAPI except India company code.

  • hi,

did you check if there are some user-exit that modify this field with a condition on the transaction code or something else like this ?

Yeah Fred, I did. Will double-check again. This field is supposed to be populated by SAP itself so unlikely any custom logic. I don't think there is a config which controls this at company code level, so not sure why only 1 company code is not working.

Did you try looking at the return table? Are there any messages?

    • Well there is customization around company code and cash discount base. I was trying to hunt around for the transaction, because my configuration path is most likely different than yours. In SPRO do a search for discount base.

      My path is:

Financial Accounting->Account Receivable and Accounts Payable->Incoming invoice->Define Cash Discount Base for Incoming Invoices

Or outcoming instead of incoming above.

      That's another place to check.

I also did - probably what you have already done - a quick google search on: SAP Cash Discount Base. That did come up with some other links that you could check out.
