JCO Destinations

Hello,

Could anyone tell me if one should define a couple (metadata + modeldata) of JCO Destination per Model or should it be defined per backend system, i.e., if I have two WD Apps, each one having its own model, invoking RFCs from the same backend system should one define 4 JCO destinations (2 per WD App) or only 2 destinations in total (modeldata + metadata) and use then in both Apps?

How is this related to the JCO configuration parameters, namely, maximum pool size, maximum size, connection timeout, etc...?

Thanks in advance,

Diz

    Hi,

While creating JCO destinations you might have noticed that it doesn't ask for any application specific configuration thus you can use the same JCO destinations for different models.

In case you require the some configuration like logon method should be Ticket for one and Uis/Pwd for the other in those cases you need to create seperate destinations.

Pool size and other related configuration should be set according the requests that you are expecting at a time.

    Regards,
