Leading role of solution

Morning All

On solution manager, when it says that the leading role of the solution created is Production, what does it mean?

Is it possible to change the leading role of the solution to Development after you have created the solution and how is this done?

It seems like for every business scenario I am trying to create, the logical components ae pointing to Production system and I want to do my tests on Development as I cannot test on production. I do not know on whether this is because of the leading role of the solution being Production.

Hi,

"Changing the Leading Role must be the very first step when maintaining the Solution Directory. Once you have changed anything else in the Solution Directory (or via work center “SAP Solution Manager Administration”), for example assigning a Logical Component, a Business Scenario, etc., it will be no longer possible to change the Leading Role."-BPMon SetUp Guide

Hi Khuselwa,

if you are in SOLAR01 you can go to Business Blueprint > System Role and change it there. Now all the logical components point to the role you selected.

But the problem that I am having now is that the solution was not created under a certain project, it was cerated on it's own. How can I then make changes or how can I find out on for which project the solution is under?
