customized duplicate_check in ELM

hi all,

I need to create a duplicate check for partners based on following condition:

In BADI - Duplicate_Check, check duplicate entries with following rule -

(First Name) AND (Street 4) AND (Phone OR Mobile)

Also for entries in fields First Name & Street 4, it should check with values separated by space.

e.g. First Name : Sanjay Kumar Sharma

Street 4: 29/41 First Floor

While checking for duplicates it should consider all entries with value Sanjay or Kumar or Sharma in their First Name. Similarly check all entries with value 29/41 or First or Floor in Street 4.

For th above requirement, what should i do.

There is no 3rd party software.

The logic you have described is not desirable in BADI. Its better you use 3rd party s/w for this.

Hi Reshmi,

As far as my undertanding goes, the SAP standard BADI will check on the name and not on the address or the postal codes.

Normally there will be a third party software vendor who provides de duplication method and even in SPRO under cross application components you can check that they refer to some third party applications.

SAP normally works with few selected and approved vendors and you can get in touch with SAP to understand who can help you in this regard.

according to SAP it IS a 3rd party software, we are also looking for exactly this. Awaiting the name of the 3rd part software.
