Dear All,

In my scenario for a one WBS assigned value has been exceeded the released value as follows.

We have configured the availability control for budget profile also.

And set tolerance limits are as follows.

So my question is how this happened even configured above settings. We identified above matter after it happen. Now we go to raise a PR the system show an error that WBS XXXXXXXX budget exceeded. It is ok because we have reached to the maximum released value. But why didn't the system show above error when exceed the released value in previous?. We have not faced to above issue in past.

I referred some questions and answers which similar to our issue but couldn't to find any solution. Have anybody an idea on this??.

Thanks,

Regards

Lakshan

Hi,

Assigned value on wbs can be exceeded due to many reasons. check your configuration for tolerance limits for budget profile. There may be some activities (like direct FI posting ) for which its tolerance might have not defined. so system will allow to post cost for them and will raise the assigned value. Also check if someone has deactivated the availibility control and activitated it again after posting the cost. Please analyse CJI3 for actual cost posting on concerned WBS.

Dear Kalpesh,

Thanks for your reply. By analyzing CJI3 I found the reason. There has been a service PO of another WBS. But when create the service entry sheet service entry sheet creator has been changed the WBS to my doubt WBS. So system has allocated the cost to the new WBS without checking release available control.

Normally in our system initially when create a PR or PO system checks the already released budget and if it is exceeded system gives an error message. But here the scenario is different and want to know is there any configuration to prevent this.

Lakshan
