Internal number assignment

hi Friends,

i was creating a materila for a newly set up plant but i encountered an error,it says:Internal number assignment is not possible for the material type Manufactured Fin Goods. what configuration should i maintain to be able to create a material..

Hi

I think in MMNR you have ticked external no. assignment for that particular matl type and group.

External no. means you have to enter no or description that you want.

Otherwise maintain internal no assignment for that matl type and group for which your matl type is attached.

Hi,

It means that external number range is assign to material .You have enter the material code manually for creating material.please number range of material in MMNR,
