Changes Made to Customer Master Record - Any Report?



Could anyone let me, if anyone knows a solution for the following problem/situation.

(1). I would like to have a report that shows all the changes made to customer master records (multiple customer records) within a specific time period?. I am aware that within a CMR we can track/review all changes made to that CMR. This will NOT serve the purpose because it lists all the changes made to one CMR.

(2) Is there anyway I can configure the system so that , if any changes are made to CMR, it should be auto-assigned to a Manager for approval.
