I am trying to connect Sybase database from Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant for Sybase version 7.6. and getting below error:
Unable to find specified provider.
Compatible Sybase Data Access Connectivity libraries were not found on the machine. You can install them from Sybase product media or download it from Sybase web site
I have installed Sybase client in my local.
Hi,
What version of client did you install on the machine?
What operating system is this machine?
Was the installation of the Sybase successful? Please read the files in the log folder.
If you installed an older client on a new Windows box the install might not have went right.
If you installed across the network it might seem that the client installed fine, but if you look in the $Sybase folder you will be missing many folders and files.
Could it be the application was looking for 64 bit binaries and you only installed the 32 bit?
Thanks,
Dawn Kim
