Uh, oops?

Ok, here's what you need to do. Navigate to your portal, and sign in. Then, paste the following URL into your browser, ensuring that you use your hostname/port:

http://my.host.com:12345/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.pagebuilder.iviewmodeproxy?iv...

When you run this, it should open just the PCD browser, which should let you navigate to the Desktop and change/reset the applicable iView attributes.

The above URL is from a nw70 portal, but it should also work for a nw2004 portal.

I would strongly suggest that you create a new desktop for your users, and use that to make changes. I would also recommend that you change the default portal desktop rules to explicitly assign the standard portal desktop to the administrator, ensuring that you have a back door to sign back in and fix problems.

If you can't do that, then open a new browser and login to the portal to ensure that the changes you've made in your other browser session (which is still logged in) haven't broken something.

I hope the above solution works for you.

Hi John,

GoTo Content Administration>Portal Content>Content Provided by SAP>End User Content>Open Default Framework Page object>Select Desktop Inner Page and click Open>Select Portal Favourites>uncheck visible and fixed>Save.

Hope this helps.
