Hi Raja

Planning can be performed in Cost Element level, for example:

Order: O123

Period: 01.2008

Cost Element_________Amount

471001______________100.00

Budgeting is done on Order Level for a period/year, for example:

Order: O123

Period: 01.2008

Budget : 100.00

You can subject an order's budget to availability management, meaning that incoming Purchase Orders or Requisitions may create a Warning or error if the budget value is exceeded. It is used to recognize possible budget overruns in time and can automatically trigger different actions.

Look at the following documentation:

1. You can not have budget distribution based on Cost Elements.

2. Availability Control is only possible if you have done budgeting but not planning.

3. Budget is approved cost and its binding.
