hi experts,

Can we record absence and attendance in a same day.for eg an employee worked for 5 hrs that time to show in attendance and balance 3 hrs to absence it is possible.

Yes. It i posiable. We will create same day attendance and absence.

Like Doctor's appointment in a day.

Eg.Clock in:09:00

Clock out: 14:00

Absence: 14 to 17.

Attendence infotype is used when the employee is working othere then the organization unit where he was assigned

Say for example 3 hr

this can be put in attendence

othere the place where he originally assigned will be given absence
