Problem in oracle LISTENER on SAP server

Dear All,

I am getting problem in oracle listener. it always stops, when i am doing some transaction in sap. specially which require database connection to execute the transaction, eg. patch update or dba activities from SAP gui.

can anybody have idea why it is happening.

hi bhaskar,

1.please try to check your tnsname.ora this file in your oracle directory .

/oracle/network/

2.check the listener services.

3.try to use sqlplus tools login your oracle database.

I think your problem is in tcp/ip port , please ensure your listen port available....

Check the listener.log for possible error messages. What Oracle version are you on?
