Making Billing document conditions page non editable ( grey mode)

Hi Friends

Pls suggest me the procedure where I want to restrict billing document (VF01) by making all the fields in grey mode in conditions tab of the billing document, so that no changes are allowed at in the billing document ( like prices & discounts remain the same as in order ) creation and all data and will be the same data as in the sales order.

hello, friend.

for condition types, using V/06 make sure all will not allow manual pricing.

to make sure prices in order/delivery are copied into billing unchanged, go to VTFA, select the source and target document relationships, choose item category and enter pricing type "G".

My requirement is that in order creation I can have option of making manual entries, but since creation of Billing document is done by different department, and in creation of billing document the content in Billing document Conditions Tab should not be editable, even for the conditions type which allows manual pricing.

Will screen and transcation variants will address this issue

hello again, friend.

in that case, you can also do SHD0 and create screen transaction for Create Billing Document VF01.

there are other possible ways, though, and that is to work with your BASIS and ABAP guys in configuring authorizations for condition types. they will tell you if the authorization objects exist or if you need to create them.

pl use field display variant in this case.

Tr.is SHD0.Or you can go thru menu path Spro>> general setting>> field display characteristics

craete screen and transaction variant. and make transaction variant standard if u want fields to be greyed out for all users .

Remember this setting will apply to all condition types .

Only making condition type entry automatic will solve this problem. where you need to maintain condition record.
