3 sap(integrate legacy with XI - Inbound and outbound proxy

Former Member

We are planning to have 3 sap (SRM,BI and CRM) systems to integrate with legacy systems . All the systems have inbound as well as outbound proxy calls. I have few questions:

1.What are the different steps to be configured to make this scenario work with one XI instance .

Does any one have this kind of scenario.

I know we can do it without proxy calls .

Awarded for appropriate solution.

Thanks,

Satya.

Hi Satya,

In SLD you need to create Business Systems for all three SAP systems and Legacy system.

You will create Message Interfaces in IR for all SAP systems and Legacy system.

You should have connection of all SAP systems with your NW system.

then you can create Proxies in SAP systems choosing appropriate message interfaces.

then u can configure scenario in Id.

Please award points if found useful...

Thanks,

Rohit

This is my scenario. The communication with all SAP Systems using proxy . Where do u specify in the Inbound that it should go to the Respective system. At SXMBP_ADM level or configuration level in (IR&ID) . Can u please send me the exact details ?

Let me know if you have this kind of scenario?

Thanks,

Satya.

Hey

please don't mind but you are asking SDN for a very big work.

Its the job of an architect to do the designing for different systems,he needs to identify the touch-points and design the interfaces.

had it been one single interface we would have helped but exact details to integrate 3 different SAP systems is a lot of work, which i guess won't be possible to accomplish on SDN.

get in touch with your architect and ask him instead to design the interfaces.

Thanx

Even forone interface, to use 3 different systems using the proxies. I would need the touch point where exactly it finds and send to its corresponding SAP System.

For ex: if we use IDOCS, the partner profiles does this functionality. Also , I am familiar with one single system using the proxies.

Hi,

As per my understanding, you wish to use different systems (SRM,BI and CRM) to connect with legacy system and the XI interface will be common.

You can do this based on below steps,

1. If the XI interface is common then probably you need common structure for the Message type to process

/people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2005/08/03/xpath-to-show-the-path-multiple-receivers

2. For Receivers you can use either Conditional routing with Receiver Determination i.e. Xpath or if you have SP19 then could be used multiple target messages in mapping.

3. For Sender side runtime routing you need to use BPM.

let me know if this could help you.

Hi,

You could design the

data types, Message types Message interface, Mapping and mapping interface as general way and use all those in single Integration scenario with verious application columns and actions.

Only this scenario will be transfer to Integration Directory and will be common instance for all the different senders and Receivers...

No need of even BPM. It will be avoided...:-)..

Please confirm if this fullfills your requirments.

I would like to use the proxy for communication. My question is how do we set up to communicate with 3 systems.

In the sxmb_adm , we have one system can pointed to.

Hi Satya,

its confusing that what you are trying to explain.

If you are looking for the 3 systems to be communicate with each other with proxies.

Then you need to create it as point to point interface with each other of these 3 systems.

All those can be included in one Integration scenario. So you could be able to communicate with any of the system based on the proxy calls.

Thanks
