Impact of "Splitting for scheduling" in CO , OKES Splitting method, KSII Logic

Hi CO Experts

In Routing - Operation details, there is functionality for Splitting for scheduling. Currently we are not using this but our production guys plan to select checkbox "Required splitting" , Maintain no. of splits in Routing,.

My objective is to understand if there will be impact of this in Production order - Actual cost ? I am trying to understand impact of this "Splitting in routing" change.

We use activity type in routing and upload plan rate manually in KP26. At month end we do Actual activity rate calculation in system using Splitting structure & KSII.

1.) Before "Splitting in routing" change we are using method 12(Activity quantity). After "Splitting in routing", will method 23(Capacity planning) be more suitable ?

2.) KSII result are different when method 23 is used instead of method 12. How can we understand system calculation for KSII ? Is there a link which comprehensively explains Splitting method & KSII logic ?

Please advise.
