In my web template i would like to display values of my dropdownbox for the charasteristic 0FCNETDUEMO in descending order. If i customize in the query designer, columns appear in the web report by descending sort, but i don't want that!!! I want only in the dropdownbox....

    Hi ,

There is no option in the web application designer to set the values in the descending order for the drop down box.

You can set it in the Bex report and you can use that info object for the drop down box.

    Regards

    Ram

    thanks Ram for answering.

i think that your solution will not be useful because my info object is still displayed in the columns of my report. so if i set it in the Bex report (as you said), columns appear in descending order too.

    another idea?

    regards,

    Dev

One workaround is create a copy of your query with only 0FCNETDUEMO in Rows and all the fields in Free Char.

Right click and go to the properties of 0FCNETDUEMO and there make the setting sort in descending which will be available at the bottom.

So this setting of descending order will be applicable only for charachetristic in the copy query and not to your original query.

Attach the original query as a data provider to the table and the copy query as the dataprovider to the dropdown.

Now in WAD goto the properties of table and drop down and select the List of Affected Data providers and click all the dataproviders that you are using

    Hope this helps
