O available qty in delivery

Hi guys,

i have created a Sales order for 2 items.for the 2 nd item the delivery date was postponed after the availability check to 24/01/08.It show correct 2 conf qty.

But when i create the delivery for the same ,0 items are displayed against it.the error log shows 0 items available.

dear

whenever u postponed delivery date for any of item u should select that item only not the whole sales document. double click the meterial which u want to be deliver later and chose schedule line item and change the delivery date.and then do VL0IN.in this case if you are having material even than it will show 0 available qty in delivery.

Hi Umesh,

I have also got the same problem some days back.there is a database inconsistency for the material that why system will confirm the delivery but deliveries will create with 0 quantity.Please run the programe SDRQCR21 through SE38 and select the Data transfer and compare both check boxes and again try to create the delivry.Please let me know if u have any issues.

I used your option as told, but its still creates delivery with 0 items.

Also when i check the stock availability in MMBE,

it shows in the plant 110 as unrestricted use and

2 as sales orders and 77 as sales orders unres.

check you stock in MMBE. If the quantity required is available , you can deliver it.

out of 110 unrestricted, how many are schedule for delivery and how many are allocated to open sales order?..u can get this from MMBE...when u place cursor at plant level and click on detail display...some stock against schedule for delivery and some against sales order (not sales order unrestriced this is for special stock E)

in simple...pls check open delivery and open sales order...there must be enough qty before ur delivery date that has been allocated to open delivery and open sales order

pls get back for any queries, also let us know whether ur issue is resolved

Hi,

When i check the stock availability in MMBE,

it shows in the plant 110 as unrestricted use and

2 as sales orders and 77 as sales orders unres.

My material avail date is 21.1.08 and

Delivery date is 24.1.08

Dear Umesh

In sale order, under the tab "Schedule lines", whatever quantity you see in "confirmed qty" on a particular date, on that date only, you can do PGI.

In your case, it is confirmed only on 24-01-08 and that is why you are unable to create the delivery. If this is not the case, please try to create the same delivery once again and let us know the exact error message which you can see on the bottom of the screen. Probably, I will try to answer.

Hi,

When I create the delivery for this item,

a delivery doc is created with 0(blank ) delivery quantity

and at the bottom of the screen a message is displayed.

"check the notes in log" .

When u open the error log,

two messages are displayed.

1)Only 0 ST of material C-1100 available

2)Delivery quantity must be entered for the item

The first message indicates that 0 qty is available

for material c-1100 for this delievry.

Dear Umesh

This means, stock is not available. In MMBE, if you see any quantity in "Unrestricted use", then some delivery is created and saved against either this sale order or some other order without doing PGI.

To check this, go to MD04 and execute. If any delivery is created and saved without doing PGI, the same will flow in MD04.

Dear Umesh

Yes now check with the option as under:-

Go to MMBE, enter the material and execute. Now you will see the stock in Unrestricted use. Press F8 thrice so that you will see a field "Schd.for delivery". If any delivery is created and saved, the respective quantity will flow in this column. For information, the unrestricted quantity is inclusive of this "schedule for delivery".

The other option is do availability check once again for all the sale orders. Why I am asking to do is that you would have created some sale orders sometime back for which the quantity is allocated and you can see the same in "Confirmed qty" in the schedule line of the respective sale order.

Though you have not created delivery against these sale orders but trying to create delivery for the latest order, then in that case, even though the quantity is showing in MMBE, you wont be able to create delivery.

I feel, most probably, by doing availability check once again for the said item, the stock will be transferred to the order which you want to do.

Could you kindly verify if there is a minimum delivery quantity for the product for the sales area?

Further, in the period between the current date and the required delivery date, would the stock be increasing as a consequence of a goods receipt or production, would there be a safety stock?

HI,

I think in ur organization they have maintained the RLT

(Replinishment lead time in days).so based on that when stock is not available system is confirming the date on 24/01/2008.

system proposed the confirm qty on 24/01/2008.

U can only create a delviery on material availabilty date.

check the procurement tab in sales order u can see the material availablity date. u can only create a delivery on that date.

U cannot creae a delivery of todays date when u dont have stock on hand.

the material avail date is 21.1.08 as seen from the procement tab,and the delievry date is 24.01.08.

stocks for the items are available today as checked in md04, so as per your statement , i should be able to create the delievery by today's date 18.1.2008.

Why is that i see only stocks value for today's date ,or not for

future date ie 21.1.2008?

Still if i create the delivery ,the delivery is created but with 0

qty for the item.

A delivery of the material may be possible only on the date of availability.

Could you kindly verify if there is any safety stock or requirement that may be postponed to advance the delivery date to the current date? (MD04).

should i prepone the delievery date from 24/01/08 to 18/01/08,

but when i do so in the sales order ,it shows unconfirmed qty on 18/1 and confirmed qty(2) on 24/1 .hence I had to confirmed it on 24/1.

I also checked the MD04, for this material.

but surprising it shows the stocks available as 110 on 18/01 !!

how is this possible? .

also it shows my order on 18/1 with avail qty as 2.

If stocks are available on 18/01 then it should allow me to save the order with the conf qty 2 on 18/1 right ??.
