Dear Sir,

If after goods receipt from production, inspection lot

generated automatically and that inspection lot does not have REL status , how to make system status REL?

Hi

Please chk inspection plan is created for this material.

If not created , pl. create first .

After this step , go to QA02 & press tab " Insp specifications"

Then press the button " task list /spec.

Then inspection plan will get allocated.

Then insp lot will get REL status.

If inspection plan is already created & look for validity dates & act accordingly.

Insp not to be released when cretaed during GR the followng are the reasons

- Inspection plan or material specification is not created(check in material master for your sadi insp type which check box is active- task list or/and material specification, if both are cative, then you need to create Both).

If that is the case, then create a task list(QP01) or/and material specification(QS41)

- Inspection plan is created, but the task list usage maintained in insp type in SPRO and what you have created in QP01 are not matching

Check in IMG - SPRO>Quality Management>Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation-->Maintain Inspection Types

Check for your inspection type, what is the task list usage maintained, if the insp plan usage and this are not matching, then you need to manually change the usage in insp lot created.

Both both cases, how to assign manually is explaied by YR reddy...

Just goto QA02

enter the lot in question and goto insp specification tab page, here you can change the usage if the above case task list usage nd what maintained in img are different.

click on TASKlist/spec tab page

Save.

now the status will be REL.

Pravin,

Probably in your case the Inspection type is defined to Inspect with a Inspection plan and when the Inspection lot was created, system could not locate the Inspection Plan.

Check the validity of the Inspection plan, if it is available or else you need to create a new Inspection plan and assign it to the Inspection lot using transation QA02. You need to go to the Inspection Specification tab and assign the plan there by hitting the Select Tasklist/Spec button(Flower like icon).

Hi

REL status for inspection lot is a system status.

If you configure maser data like MIC's , inspection plan & settings material master properly, when you make the goods movements for the material concerned, Inspection lot will be created & automatically released..

If your inspection lot is not REL status means , you have not set up your master data correctly.
