PO workflow is getting triggered more than once. While I create a purchase order BUS2012 is getting triggered 3 times simultaneously. I checked in the event linkage.Only one event is linked to this object WS93000052.Out of these only once is getting successfully executed.other are remain in inprogress status.

Can any one suggent why this is happening????????

Do you have release set up at item level so that an event is occuring for each item in the PO instead of by Header level?

That's not possible for purchase orders, only for requisitions. The other document types only have the overall release.

Hi,

The event might be linked for some other workflow as WS20000075 which is standard workflow. So check the event linkage in SWETYPV properly for your BO. And if there is no event linkage for other wf, then check in event trace which all workflows gets triggered. you can see event trace by switching on the event in SWELS and do your transaction and goto SWEL and see the trace

Below are the event which getting trigerred.

If you compare three, all three are same events "RELEASESTEPCREATED".But my problem is how same event is getting trigerred 3 times when a PO is getting created.

Do you have three release codes in the PO? One workflow will be triggered for each release code that can be processed. For more information about this try to search for existing threads using 'release strategy' and 'release code' as search criteria.

Or (how could I forget it...) read the documentation in the customizing node(s).

I check 'release strategy' also..only one release code is there.

You've given us the trace, but do you also see three events in the event log when you create a purchase order? Have you (you should have...) looked for OSS Notes already?
