Dimension Processing Issue

Hi Vadim,

In our productive environment recently business user made some changes in “Product” dimension. They process that dimension successfully but still dimension members is not visible in EPM report. Even i process dimension from BPC web and system shows process successfully but no member visible in EPM.

Last year also we had same issue. Then we executed program UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE with option “Re-generate cache file”. But that time dimension was got processed but there are old members also added into dimension master with new one.

Is there any way to see cache file if deleted members are still there or not. Also is there any other way how to process this dimension?

I have exported dimension master data for safer side but only 2 records exported. Seems dimension is not process completely hence the issue is. How to back up this master data before doing process?

Product dimension is time dependent or not?

In general UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE and dimension processing has to solve issues.

Anyway the members with data will not be deleted!

Thanks Vadim. Issue is resolve.

I have done below.

1. Just change one of the product description and revert back again.

2. Then just save Dimension and came out from it.

3. Process the dimension from the "Process" option available over dimension section on BPC web and not from inside dimension.

This time dimension refresh successful. and all the product dimension members visible in EPM.
