PCA determination for Intercompany Stock Transfer billing document with no Sales Order

Hi,

I would like to determine the profit center in the Intercompany Billing document that does not have an associated Sales order so it wont use the substitution table or rules we have entered into 0KEM or 0KEL.

All the notes I have read seem to say that we cannot use PCA substitution if its relation is to a stock transfer order which our scenario is and that the profit center in this case has to come from the material. However I am hoping there is something better out there now?

In MM there is a Intercompany stock replenishment Transfer Order, this generates a stock issue from the selling company and goods receipt by the buying company. The selling company then issues a intercompany SD billing document to the buying company. In this billing document we would like the profit center to be determined based on which company is buying (not the material). However we are getting Dummy.

We do not use transfer pricing for our intercompany sales/replenishment orders.

We have other intercompany SD billing documents that do have a sales order as the buying company sells from the supply company direct to the customer and these work as expected through the PCA sales order substitution but now we need something smarter for our MM related ones above.

Please can anyone provide any guidance?

Thanks

You may wish to add a FICO tag to your question in addition to SD billing to have a higher chance of attracting members with the relevant knowledge and skill-set.

While you were looking for notes on the topic, did you come across 1532865 - FAQ: Profit center in billing document?

The last paragraph in the note about customer-specific adjustment does not explicitly state that it would work only for inter-company sales. If there is absolutely no other option to achieve what is expected (despite that the part about without sales documents mentions substitution in the possible ways to get a profit center) and if the business request is reasonable (I cannot tell if it is a good practice or not) the solution in the note (point 4) is probably worth exploring.
