Hi All,
I ned inputs from you all in the configuration of half-day leave.
The client is just storing absences (i.e. type of leave and no of days an employee is entitled for that leave, how much he has availed and how much is the balance) with the help of BDC and thus update the absence quotas (2006 ) Infotype.
Thus only 2006 Infotype is being used, not 2001 infotype.
Now i have to give them a provision that an employee can take half day leave also. Their time unit is days and not hours. They are not using time management system.
Please advise how i can configure half day leave at the backend, so that when employee applies for half day leave from the front end, it gets stored in the backened (SAP GUI) in absence quotas and the absence quotas (2006) infotype gets updated accordingly.
Hai..
1. create an absence type and a counting rule and link both of them.
2. Follow the steps in absence node of Payroll

Currently, there is no rounding rule applied to the counting rule. But in counting rule, under condition for absence/attendance, the two check-boxes <1 day and Full- day , both are checked.
Also, quota multiplier is 100% and under rounding rule, multiply first radio button is selected

Hi Reema,
Follow these in IMG :
1) Define absense type HPL.
2) Group Employee Subgroups for Time Quotas
3) Group Personnel Subareas for Time Quotas
4) Define Rules for Rounding Counted Absences
5) Define Counting Rules
6) Assign Counting Rules to Absence Types
hope this helps.
Regards,
Tomesh
