BEx query is being defualted to Portal.

Hi all,

We have implemented NW04s both frontend and backend, when we tried to run the BEx query in web it jumps straight into Portal, even we have adjusted ICM configuration attempting to make ABAP web as default handler, wondering what profile parameters are required to update in order to get ABAP web service as default.

We have SP13 and SP9 (with corrections) for frontend and backend respectively.

Many thanks.

    Hi,

As far as I know, Web runtime in NW 2004s BI will always be on the portal.

    Maybe someone can confirm this?

    Hi all,

I don't think you could default the Web server to ABAP web if you are on BI 7.0 platform, i have done that i could, setting the default handler to ABAP, since we are on BI 7.0, unless you turn off the J2EE engine completely, else it will always try to reach Portal or SAP find a way to do that.

thanks for all for your input.

    Cheers.
